Essential Features

Essential features the credit card must have in order for you to consider it. Note that this will remove any cards that don’t have the selected features, so filter if they aren’t vitaly important to you, it is better to leave this filter unselected.

Bank

Filter to select which banks you would like to see cards from.

Bonus Points

The promotional bonus points offered. A minimum spend requirement within a set time period may apply. For example, in order to earn 90,000 bonus points, you may need to spend at least $3,000 per month on eligible transactions during the first three months. Some transactions may be excluded or earn points at a reduced rate, e.g. cash advances, government or foreign transactions.

Earn Rate

The number of rewards points earned for each eligible dollar spent on the card. Earn rate tiers or points capping may apply. For example, you may earn 2 points per $1 on the first $2000 spent on the card, then 1 point per $1 spent for additional transactions. Some transactions may be excluded or earn points at a reduced rate, e.g. cash advances, government or foreign transactions.

Forecasted earn rate is the average earn rate based on your input, given the earning caps of the card.

Annual Fee

Total annual fees charged for the number of years the card is held (based on your input above). An annual fee is charged in full for each year or part of a year. The calculation takes into consideration annual fee refunds for minimum spend thresholds, as well as variances between first and subsequent year annual fees. No other fees are included in this calculation.

Total Points

Total points is the estimated number of bonus points earned plus points per dollar earned during the forecast period, based on your inputs above and the promotional offer of the card. Some cards may have points capping and spend requirements, which are factored into our calculations.

It is assumed that the monthly spend is applicable for each month of the forecast period, and that it does not include any excluded or reduced earning transaction categories, e.g. cash advances, government or international purchases.
